GROWING WITH EDUCATION
The first legal secretaries association, Long Beach Legal Secretaries Association, was founded in 1929 by Eula Mae Jett. Long Beach Legal Secretaries Association is a member association of Legal Secretaries, Incorporated, a California non-profit corporation, which was formed in 1934.
Long Beach Legal Secretaries Association is dedicated to the education of its members and others in the legal profession. Each year numerous educational programs are offered through the association.
In 2010, the members of the LBLSA voted to change the name of the association to Long Beach Legal Professionals Association. This change was to assure all members of the legal community that they are welcome as members of this association. The ongoing purpose of this association is education and networking for all members of the legal community.
CODE OF ETHICS
It shall be the duty of each member of Legal Secretaries, Inc. to observe all laws, rules and regulations now and hereafter in effect relating to confidentiality and privileged communications, acting with loyalty, integrity, competence and diplomacy, in accordance with the highest standards of professional conduct.
